What is a DDSA Visit Grant?

  • Purpose: To attract students and early career researchers interested in forming future DDSA fellowship applications in collaboration with potential supervisors from Danish universities or research institutions.
  • Eligibility: Open to national and international students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers.
  • Financial Support: Offers up to DKK 15,000 to cover travel, accommodation, and related expenses. It does not include salary, daily allowances, food expenses, or local transportation.

Who Can Apply?

  • Applicants: Danish and international students in bachelor’s or master’s degree programs, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers.
  • Requirements: Must be enrolled or employed at a university at the time of the planned visit or within one year of completing enrollment/employment at the university.

How to Apply?

  • Submission: Applications can be submitted year-round and are processed within 6 weeks. Applicants must apply before the planned activity begins. One grant per applicant per year, and supervisors can receive up to 3 visit applicants per calendar year.
  • Evaluation Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on motivation, scientific purpose, relevance to DDSA Fellowships, and a letter of support from the host institution/supervisor.
  • Application Process: Apply through the DDSA funding portal, including a Letter of Support from the host institution/supervisor using the provided template.

Payout of Grant

  • Disbursement: Grants are awarded based on an approved budget and reimbursed after submitting a final account through the DDSA funding portal. Payments are made into the recipient’s personal account.
